RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB ACTIVITIES:

1. Provide technical assistance to end-users with computers, printers, and mobile devices.

2. Troubleshoot hardware and software problems on workstations and in meeting rooms.

3. Set up new computers, printers, and mobile devices.

4. Install and troubleshoot both commercial and custom software.

5. Perform software and hardware upgrades as needed.

6. Purchase IT supplies such as printer toners and ink cartridges, keyboards, displays, etc.

7. If needed, arrange for outside repair of computers and related equipment.

8. Maintain IT Inventory, Asset tags, IP Addresses, and other spreadsheets.

9. Facilitate new user onboarding and orientation.

10. Provide IT-related training for employees as needed and update knowledge bases.

11. Communicate with Senior Network Admin regarding new and ongoing projects.

12. Manage tickets, user accounts, security, and user expectations.

13. Communicate with Application Development team regarding new and ongoing projects.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of two-year degree in an IT Support or Desktop Support and related work experience. CompTIA A+ or other Desktop Support Certification a plus.

EXPERIENCE: 0 – 3 years Desktop / End User Support – new college grads welcome to apply!

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: Ability to effectively communicate with external and internal resources. Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve computer software and hardware issues with a smile. Working knowledge of Windows operating systems including Windows 10/11, macOS 15, iOS 18, Android, printers, and barcode scanners. Basic networking knowledge.

EQUIPMENT OPERATED: Various types of computers, hardware, and software.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Hand-eye coordination for typing, walking, maintaining equipment, and ability to sit for extended periods of time. Ability to stand, walk, talk, listen, and move from place to place regularly onsite. Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds (carry IT devices).
