Overview:
Otterbein is seeking a Network Administrator to join our team. The individual in this role will have the ability to work independently and in a team environment. This is an onsite position and is NOT remote that will also be required on a rotation to provide after-hours emergency support.
Location: Lebanon, OhioResponsibilities:
Manage Windows systems, including Windows Server 2012 - 2022
Perform Windows server installation, upgrades, updates, and migrations
Manage Active Directory users, groups, computers, group policies, and security
Responsible for implementing, performance tuning, and maintaining server environments including server patch management & capacity planning
Image Management (PXE & MDT deployments)
Manage file shares and access.
Assist other team members with 2nd & 3rd level user support
Assist other team members with DR planning & testing
Develop and maintain processes and procedures for critical operational activities.
Stay current with VMware Hypervisor software patches and their impact on the environment.
Provide after-hours emergency support on a rotating basis
Actively seek out opportunities to improve existing practices, procedures, and technology implementations.
Manage Cisco and Ubiquity switchport configurations
Manage Unifi wireless APs and controllersQualifications:
Associates degree, equivalent work experience or IT certifications. Bachelor's degree preferred.
High level of knowledge of Active Directory.
High level of knowledge of Windows 10, 11, 2012-2022 Server OS.
Working knowledge of Cisco switching and routing.
Working knowledge of Unifi switches and wireless controllers and APs.
Two years of experience as a Windows Administrator in large complex enterprise.
Two years of experience in server virtualization utilizing VMware, including multi-site deployments.
Two years of experience in load balancers, SQL deployment, Windows Internet Information Services and Microsoft Exchange environments, including creating and configuring group policy objects and monitoring and troubleshooting Active Directory replication in a distributed enterprise.
Demonstrated basic understanding of networking, including DNS, DHCP, IPv4, subnet masks and gateways.
Experience with scripting in PowerShell.
Experience & working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
