Report Structure: The Finance and Operations Analyst will report to the Director of Finance & Operations and work closely with the finance team.
Position Description
The Finance and Operations Analyst is responsible for assisting the Director of Finance and Operations with financial operations. The role will include monthly accounting responsibilities in the areas of cash, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, as well as the associated reporting. The Finance and Operations Analyst will assist with preparing documents evidencing compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The Finance and Operations Analyst will also be responsible for aiding daily operations in areas like purchasing, bill pay, and food service. This role will be critical to the upcoming expansion of Aug Prep to a second campus and increased enrollment, with multiple areas of growth within both finance and operations. This position will work at Aug Prep South during the 25-26 fiscal year and will be placed at Aug Prep North starting in 26-27.
Job Responsibilities and Roles
Complete accounting journal entries in areas such as payroll, cash, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
Prepare cash deposits and bank reconciliations
Maintain the purchasing process, including order initiation, receipt of goods, and payment
Assist in bill pay processes
Assist in organizational budget management
Assist with compilation of financial reports
Participate in all areas of compliance, which may include the 990, food service, and other federal, state, local or grant-specific compliance
Assist in operational functions such as enrollment, attendance, and food service
Qualifications

Participating member in a local Church
Comfort with technology, including experience with Excel functionalities
Familiarity with the Google Workspace (navigating Drive, Gmail, etc.)
Ability to learn accounting software (Quickbooks experience preferred)
Basic knowledge of accounting including debits and credits and how financial statements relate to one another
Some coursework in accounting, finance, or business (Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree a plus)
Some experience in accounting, finance, or business
Effective organizational and managerial skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Effective oral and written communication skills
A desire to continually learn, as well as a flexible attitude to grow and change as the organization does
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently without close oversight but also a team player committed to the Augustine Prep mission and model
Lastly and most important, the candidate must demonstrate and possess the highest integrity and be able to live the values, beliefs, and culture of Augustine Prep
