Position Overview
We’re searching for a Software Engineer (Golang, C#) to join our Platform team in a remote work setting. To keep us headed in the right direction, we’re looking for people who understand winning is a team sport, who value and seek to learn from our team’s diverse experiences and backgrounds, who welcome a challenge and take risks in the pursuit of creating better outcomes for our customers, and who can, at any given time, step back to laugh and have some fun. We leverage Agile Scrum methodologies to deliver software applications, revolutionizing the business of insurance.
What You’ll Do
Design and implement high-quality technical solutions that deliver real business value, applying object-oriented principles, design patterns, and effective testing strategies
Collaborate with teammates in an Agile Scrum environment, sharing knowledge, reviewing code, and helping drive high-quality delivery
Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices as part of scalable, cloud-native systems
Integrate with third-party platforms and APIs
Leverage Temporal workflows to build reliable, long-running backend processes
Contribute to secure authentication and access control using modern IAM systems and best practices
Manage secrets and sensitive configuration data using cloud-native tools such as Vault
Configure and manage service accounts, roles, and fine-grained permissions to enable secure access between services and systems
Work with Apigee to design and maintain API proxies, shared flows, key-value maps (KVMs), and enforce API policies based on OpenAPI specs
Develop document management workflows using Google Cloud Storage, including signed URLs and lifecycle rules
Extending email systems backed by SendGrid for both parsing inbound messages and sending outbound communications
Define, provision, and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and Terraform CDK
Deploy and manage applications in Kubernetes clusters, leveraging Helm charts for templated, consistent configuration and deployment
Communicate clearly and effectively within the team and across functions, proactively sharing updates, identifying blockers, and asking the right questions
Take the initiative to drive progress, bring solutions to the table, and own outcomes
We’re Excited to Learn More About You
3+ years of experience building web applications and services using C# or Golang
Experience with authentication and identity flows using Auth0, OAuth 2.0, or OpenID Connect
Knowledge of integrating third-party APIs such as DocuSign, SendGrid, SalesForce, Auth0, etc.
Experience with secure access and configuration management using Vault, service accounts, and IAM roles
Hands-on experience working with Apigee, including API proxies, shared flows, key-value maps, and OpenAPI specifications
Knowledge of document storage using Google Cloud Storage, including signed URL generation and access control
Experience working with email services like SendGrid for handling inbound and outbound email flows
Experience managing infrastructure using Terraform or Terraform CDK within cloud platforms like GCP or AWS
Experience deploying and managing containerized applications using Kubernetes and Helm
Experience working with modern front-end technologies, including React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or Angular
Working knowledge of SQL and relational database systems
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical ideas clearly and collaborate effectively
Demonstrated problem-solving ability, logical reasoning, and a drive to find practical solutions
A self-starter mentality—someone who takes initiative, follows through, and thrives in a fast-moving, team-oriented environment
