JOB SUMMARY
Water Gap Guides play a crucial role in fostering collaboration, communication, and compassionate care to Water Gap Wellness guests. Responsibilities encompass ensuring the safety and wellbeing of guests.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Ability to maintain appropriate boundaries with guests.
Ability to understand and work effectively with diverse cultures, beliefs, and genders, incorporating diverse needs and perspectives in decisions that are made.
Ability to work independently and problem solve in stressful situations.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
JOB RESPONSBILITES
Coordinate check-in and admissions process with other departments to ensure the safety of the guests.
Document observations and communicate concerns to the appropriate department.
Maintain professional boundaries at all times.
Provide a supportive environment to guests at all times.
Accompany guests to meals, appointments, and other related activities.
Facilitate or co-facilitate activities.
Attend monthly staff meetings or scheduled trainings.
Provide transportation as needed.
Continually sanitize surface areas, sweep floors, and tidy up unkempt spaces to maintain a clean environment.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT, SKILL OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Basic computer knowledge.
Ability to work in a supportive, caring, and non-judgmental manner with colleagues and guests.
Function calmly in urgent situations.
Ability to plan and organize work and communicate ideas orally and in writing.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, patients, outside agencies, families and general public.
Effective and professional communication skills are required.
SPECIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to lift 40 lbs. and be able to lift and carry articles such as mail order boxes, laundry baskets, etc.
Requires walking around and standing as you carry out job functions.
Should be physically fit and agile to ensure the safety of guests.
LEVEL OF SUPERVISION
Periodic and annual evaluations.
