This position is responsible for observing incoming and outgoing truck and rail traffic and documenting loads as required as well as recording and communicating load information in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
Document truck and rail shipping manifest with all pertinent information about the load and amounts being transported using the APEX system
Communicate daily information per load as outlined by corporate governance
Learn, follow and promote all safety regulations of Charah and its customers
Work occasional weekend, holiday, and/or overtime
Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or upper management
Qualifications
Valid driver’s license required
High School diploma or equivalent work experience required
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Products required
Excellent communication and organizational skills required
Previous administrative experience (including managing spreadsheets, collecting data, and maintaining basic reports) required
Previous experience working in a deadline-driven, production-oriented industrial/construction work environment preferred
Relevant weighing (or related) certification, or the ability to obtain, preferred
Work Environment & Conditions
Be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock
Concentrate in noisy setting around large construction vehicles
Work in indoor conditions, with some exposure to outdoor weather
Occasionally perform gross body movement such as bending, lifting (up to 25 lbs), twisting, standing, balancing, stooping, and handling materials
Sit for long periods of time in one location
Display professional appearance, warm demeanor and positive attitude
Sustain interpersonal relationships which encourage openness, candor and trust, both internally and outside of Charah
Be a motivated self-starter who’s able to originate new procedures and new approaches to problems
