Description

Position Summary: Under the general direction of Floor Leader(s), the Shipper/Receiver (Summer Help) is responsible for meeting daily goals and objectives in shipping and receiving department.

Hours of Operation for this Summer Help Position will be Monday thru Thursday from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (A - Shift)

Duration: June 2nd 2025 to August 7th 2025

What You'll Do:

Performs general shipping/receiving duties including shipping and receiving goods, preparing orders for shipment, picking/packing orders and unloading/loading trucks and cycle counting.

Reports concerns, issues, and shortages to Supervisor.

Follows and maintains standard operating procedures.

Ensures effective communication is maintained with all Team Members.

Provides back up support for shipping driver as necessary and complies with Illinois driving laws and AJA driving policies and procedures.

Maintains clean department including functional workstations

Performs other related duties and projects as assigned by Team Leader/s

Qualifications

What You'll Bring:

Knowledge of shipping/receiving and traffic procedures

Valid Illinois Driver’s License and good driving record (Required)

Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), QAD and MRP (Preferred)

Considerations:

Minimum High School Diploma or G.E.D; additional education (Preferred)

1-2 years’ experience with shipping manifest systems (UPS/Fed-Ex)

1-2 years of international shipping experience (Preferred)

Must be able to operate stand-up forklift/ order picker (Raymond or Clark Preferred)
