Summary:

The K–8 Testing Coordinator is responsible for the organization, administration, and management of all standardized assessments for students in grades K through 8. This role ensures compliance with testing requirements, supports data-driven instruction, and helps maintain the integrity and security of the testing process.

Category: Full-time hourly contract basis

Pay Rate: depending on education & experience

Reports To: School Principal

Work Year: school days Aug. - May with some additional training days

Specific Days Needed: M, T, W, Th, F (any one or more)

Min./Max. Hours per week: 40

Job Hours: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM (additional hours maybe added for meetings, etc)

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and oversee the administration of all mandated tests

Maintain testing schedules, secure testing materials, and communicate timelines with staff, students, and families.

Train and support teachers and proctors on proper test administration procedures and protocols.

Ensure all testing is conducted in compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines.

Collect, organize, and analyze test data to support instructional planning and academic intervention strategies.

Assist with accommodations and modifications for students with IEPs, 504s, and ELL designations.

Maintain accurate and secure records of student assessment results.

Participate in professional development related to assessment best practices and data use.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in education or related field (Master’s preferred).

Valid teaching certification (if required by district/state).

Minimum of 3 years teaching experience;

Strong organizational and project management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Proficient in data analysis tools and student information systems

Knowledge of assessment practices, accommodations, and applicable education laws.

Working Conditions:

School-based setting with occasional district meetings and off-site training.

Requires sitting, standing, and lifting moderate materials (e.g., testing booklets, laptops).
