General Purpose: The Logistics Specialist serves as the secondary subject-matter expert for all export shipping activities and related inventory control functions within the Supply Chain Logistics team.
This role is a critical pillar of the department, with strong focuses on: Reliable Delivery: Ensuring export shipments depart accurately and on schedule.
Order Accuracy: Verifying that all export orders match customer requirements and internal records.
Compliance: Upholding U.S.
and international export regulations, carrier rules, and other applicable requirements.
Inventory Traceability: Maintaining end-to-end visibility of inventory through accurate system updates and documentation.
Shift(s) Available: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday Supervisory Responsibilities: None Duties and Responsibilities: (other duties may be assigned): Export Logistics Delivery Coordination: Partner with Exports and Planning teams to ensure shipments meet Planned Delivery Dates (PDDs). Order Staging: Coordinate picking, staging, and kitting of parts for export shipments per shipment schedules.
Shipping Documentation: Generate and review all export shipping documents (e.g., airwaybills, commercial invoices, packing lists) to comply with TSA and other regulatory guidelines.
Verify the completeness and accuracy of export documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, airway bills, etc.) and ensure documentation supports regulatory compliance and quality standards.
Ensure compliance with U.S.
and international regulations (TSA, ITAR, EAR, ATF) related to controlled firearm components and export activities, while maintaining required records Maintain required training and/or certifications (e.g., TSA Cargo Security Awareness, Export Compliance Training) and complete all recurring training as needed; aid with onboarding by providing training and support for team members on compliance-related procedures.
Replenishment Point Management: Oversee inventory replenishment for picking locations within your area of responsibility to support on-time order fulfillment.
Maximize the use of ERP and inventory systems to provide operational visibility, minimize delays, and ensure the traceability of all export items from picking to shipment.
Inventory Control Cycle Count Compliance: Use the ERP system and analysis tools to execute and track cycle counts per the Cycle Count Program guidelines.
Material Transactions: Accurately process all material receipts, transfers, issues, and adjustments in the ERP system.
Location Management: Maintain both physical and system bin-location accuracy, including setup, moves and cleanup.
Maintain Location Integrity: Audit and update warehouse location identifiers—verifying that every bin, shelf, and zone is correctly named, numbered, and labeled for seamless navigation and picking.
Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve variances between book quantities and physical inventory counts.
OS&D Investigations: Lead overage, shortage and damage investigations, documenting findings and corrective actions.
Inventory Adjustments: Execute provisioned inventory adjustments in ERP system—ensuring each change is accurately documented and aligned with Glock’s Inventory Management procedures.
Generate & Analyze Inventory Reports: Produce cyclical inventory reports in the ERP system and Excel to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
Annual Inventory Audit: Participate in the annual inventory audit, reconciling physical counts with system records and documenting all findings.
Understand and support the components of Inventory Control – Accuracy, movement coordination, access control, space management, ownership, data integrity and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with Planning, Production, Compliance, and Warehouse teams to ensure synchronization of shipping and inventory control operations with company timelines and customer expectations.
General Responsibilities Ensure compliance with U.S.

Actively support LEAN initiatives and continuous process improvements to achieve high quality standards and operational efficiency.
Identify and recommend process improvements in relation logistics and inventory tracking, supporting lean initiatives and quality management systems.
Operate a variety of material handling equipment, including pallet jacks, hand trucks, and counting scales, to support efficient logistical processes.
Facilitate clear and timely communication, ensuring effective information flow.
Identify and contribute to projects that contribute to team objectives and organizational goals.
Stay updated with industry knowledge through ongoing education in area of responsibility.
Escalate potential compliance issues to the appropriate internal stakeholders.

Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, inventory control, or export operations.
Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO) and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA). Experience using ERP, WMS (Microsoft Dynamics AX and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365), and inventory management systems; proficiency in data entry and report generation.
Experience using spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel for data entry, inventory tracking, and basic reporting.
Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in documentation and inventory management.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across different teams.
