RF Engineer II (Contract) (Location: Tewksbury, MA area) Job Description: Skills and Job Duties Conduct testing and evaluation of RF systems and components to ensure compliance with performance specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.These RF systems and components are for defense and aerospace applications, including transmitters, receivers, amplifiers, and frequency converters.
So previous experience with these applications is desirable.
Experience Troubleshooting and debugging Engineer designs, documenting - creating and reporting test plans Experience with RF testing and measurement equipment, such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes.
Proficiency in using RF design and simulation tools, such as MATLAB, AWR Microwave Office, CST Microwave Studio, or similar software.
Problem Solving and Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex RF system performance issues, troubleshoot problems, and propose effective solutions.
Strong understanding of RF systems, components, and technologies, including RF circuit design, microwave engineering, modulation techniques, and electromagnetic theory.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications: 5 years of related experience.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or a related field.
