Foster Garvey PC, one of the Pacific Northwest's leading law firms, seeks a Human Resources Intern for our Seattle office.
The Human Resources Intern will gain valuable hands-on experience across multiple HR functions while supporting our team in a collaborative, fast-paced legal environment. This position offers excellent professional development opportunities for individuals starting their HR career. The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, exceptional customer service and communication skills, strict confidentiality, strong organizational abilities, and a proactive mindset. We welcome recent college graduates with HR education or experience who are passionate about developing a career in human resources within a professional services setting.
An in-person presence is required for this position five (5) days a week Monday through Friday with normal business hours.
Responsibilities:
Assist in recruitment efforts, including posting job advertisements, screening resumes, and coordinating interview schedules
Support the onboarding process by preparing new hire packets and coordinating orientation schedules
Help maintain accurate HR databases, digital files, and confidential record-keeping systems
Support the benefits team with administrative tasks, including assisting with wellness program initiatives
Assist in organizing and coordinating HR events, training sessions, and employee engagement activities
Provide administrative support to the HR team, including meeting coordination and filing
Contribute to special projects across various HR functions
Other duties as assigned
Skills:

Absolute discretion with confidential and sensitive information
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
Eagerness to learn and apply new HR concepts and best practices
Professional proactivity and initiative in anticipating departmental needs
Positive attitude, flexibility, and strong work ethic
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while managing multiple priorities
Education and Experience:
1-3 years of HR education or relevant experience
High School Diploma required; current enrollment in or completion of HR-related degree program preferred
Salary Range:
The pay range for this internship is $21.00 to $25.00 per hour.
Other Compensation and Benefits:
Benefits include a Commuter Benefits Program for eligible employees. To receive the commuter benefit, employees will need to work three or more days in the office per week.
