The Irving Law Firm is a busy Northern Virginia law firm, in search of an Associate Attorney to join the Criminal Defense team in our Manassas and/or Arlington offices. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of criminal defense or prosecution practical experience. The Attorney will primarily handle traffic and criminal cases and will be expected to join the Court Appointed list to serve the indigent members of our community who have been charged with crimes. The Attorney will work directly with clients and will be in court an average of four out of five days per week. Some travel within Northern Virginia may be required.

The Criminal Team attorneys, including the Division Lead, will provide continuous training, mentorship, and support. Our highly capable staff will provide additional support to allow this attorney to operate efficiently and effectively. This position is ideal for someone who loves being in the courtroom and working directly to help people.

Bar Requirements: Virginia Bar Required.

Languages: Fluency in Spanish, Arabic, Hindi, Russian, or any other language a plus but not required.

Responsibilities:

· Litigate cases in court on behalf of clients

· Conduct legal research and analysis

· Draft legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, and motions

· Advise clients on legal matters and provide guidance on potential outcomes

· Attend hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings

· Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure effective case management
