We are a well-established residential and commercial construction company specializing in new home builds, large-scale residential and commercial remodels, Build outs, and light commercial construction projects throughout the Austin,Texas metro area. Our team is committed to quality, integrity, and delivering exceptional results for our clients. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our growing team.

Job Summary

The Construction Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for residential new builds, major residential and commercial remodeling projects, and commercial construction work. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction processes, local building codes, and the ability to work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates.

Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor bids.

Prepare detailed scopes of work and cost breakdowns.

Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers throughout the project lifecycle.

Track changes in project scope and adjust estimates as necessary.

Maintain and update a database of historical costs and pricing.

Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, regulations, and permitting requirements.

Assist in project scheduling and budgeting as needed.

Requirements

3+ years of estimating experience in residential AND commercial construction (new builds, remodels, and light construction).

Proficiency with common estimating software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, CoConstruct, Xactimate or similar).

Must be highly proficient in Buildertrend.

Strong knowledge of residential and commercial construction methods and materials.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Must be able to pass a background check, with no felonies on record.

Must provide at least 3 professional references.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (not required but a plus).

Local knowledge of the Texas construction market and local Austin area building codes.
