The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking an AWS Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will become part of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Datacenter Consolidation and Cloud Optimization (DCCO) program providing Tier 3 support to the DHS Homeland Advanced Recognition Technology (HART) biometric system. This role is entirely telework based with core hours between 9 am – 3 pm (EST) Monday – Friday; applicant must reside and perform all work within the United States.
Responsibilities:
Help develop, document, communicate, and enforce network technology policies
Install and configure new software and hardware, including server networks, devices, and firewalls
Monitor system performance, IT system operations, and storage utilization
Plan hardware or software upgrades to support system growth
Manage user accounts, assets, and security permissions
Provide support for escalated help desk requests
Perform typical system administrator activities
Review systems performance logs to identify anomalies and troubleshoot issues
Identify root causes and document troubleshooting steps
Support active directory/LDAP, certificate services, network communications, group policy, and security compliance
Provide Tier III support (problem/incident management)
Work independently and in teams to achieve project/program objectives
Provide on-call support for approximately 4-6 weeks per year
Qualifications:
Required:
U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. government agency level clearance (DHS EOD)
5 years of relevant Information Technology Experience
AWS GovCloud (AWS Console), RedHat OpenShift, Ansible and Docker containers, Ansible Automation Platform, Aurora AWS (PostgreSQL) database, Gitlab and Jenkins pipeline, CyberArk, Splunk, SonarQube, Jenkins
Desired:
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related STEM field
Cloud Systems Administration experience; AWS certifications a plus
Expert knowledge of RHEL, Windows, & other open-source technologies
Knowledge of OpenShift, Splunk, Ansible Automation Platform, Jenkins, JFrog, and similar toolsets
Advanced knowledge and experience using Java Message Service (JMS) API with Apache ActiveMQ or IBM ActiveMQ message brokers
Development background in Java and/or Golang
Experience managing applications using web services for queue-based message services

The proposed salary range for this position is: $48,300-$96,600
