Senior Engineer II, Software QA

Description

Lead a team in Evaluating and addressing issues within the coding/design of software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards, and ensuring software applications and related systems meet internal design/performance specifications individually and as integrated into larger systems.

Responsibilities

Maintaining thorough documentation of all testing and results to assist in debugging and modification of software.

Analyzing test results to ensure existing functionality and make recommendations for corrective actions to resolve problem areas.

Work closely with K&S engineers to provide guidance, technical information, and feedback on topics related to software development, specifically consulting with development engineers to resolve any issues related to development and applications.

Providing feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation software.

Ensuring quality computer integration into the overall functions of scientific computation, data acquisition, and processing.

Creating and executing the test plan to release software while monitoring the quality to ensure software of acceptable quality is released.
