We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Live Events Technical Manager to be the critical coordination point for live productions at our Stamford, CT Studios. In this pivotal role, you will be the technical linchpin ensuring seamless execution of remotely produced live sports, bridging the technical communications between production, engineering, and all operations teams.
Responsibilities:
Live Event Production Support
Serve as the primary Stamford technical point of contact during live productions
Conduct real-time quality control of video and audio signals
Provide immediate, executive-level communication of technical issues
Assist with technical setup and troubleshooting
Partner with the Onsite Venue Tech Manager on all technical show executions
Technical Planning and Coordination
Develop comprehensive technical plans and documentation for live events
Manage pre- and post-show technical meetings
Create detailed show reports; issues, improvements and production insights
Resolve potential technical resource conflicts proactively
Strategic Technology Engagement
Collaborate with Production, Tech Ops, and Engineering teams
Assess and recommend improvements to technical operations workflows
Participate in testing and implementation of new workflows
Cross-Team Collaboration
Foster strong relationships across internal teams and external partners
Facilitate clear, effective communication between departments
Escalate technical issues appropriately and ensure timely resolutionQualifications
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
Minimum five 5 years’ experience in live technical production experience
Must have proficient computer skills, including Apple, Outlook, MS Word, Excel
Must be able to work across weekends, during the week and flexible and long hours
Desired Characteristics:
Strong understanding of broadcast and production technologies
Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced live environments
Proven track record of technical coordination and team collaboration
