Job Description
Salary: $15.00- $18.00/hour
The Restoration Technician will work in several capacities including emergency water cleanup, mold & asbestos remediation, demolition, rebuilding/renovations, contents cleaning and other related duties. This position requires a person who is self-motivated, experienced with or has knowledge of clean up and restoration, and has great customer service skills. Attention to detail and a high regard for Quality Control and Quality Assurance is expected to assure compliance with internal and external specifications. Adherence and conformance with policies and governmental regulations is a priority and must be maintained at all times. To be successful in this position, you will work well as part of a team, enjoy working outdoors, and be able to perform strenuous physical tasks.
Responsibilities include:
Respond to property losses that involve water and sewer losses, fire, and storms.
Assist with tear out, demolition, carpet removal of all damaged finishes.
Assist with setting up drying equipment, containment, treatment and remediation.
Participate in an on-call rotation.
Train new technicians.
Identify the source of the problem and scope of the water damage.
Perform water extraction and pack out-of contents.
Perform light construction demo upon approval.
Set up air movers and/or dehumidifiers and monitor daily.
Perform hard surface cleaning.
Complete paperwork as assigned.
Loading and unloading of materials, tools, and equipment.
Maintaining a safe work environment including removing debris, garbage, and dangerous materials from sites.
Use and manage the use and care of all maintenance equipment including power equipment, hand tools and ladders.
Job Requirements:
You are at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States for this company.
Possess a valid drivers license with a good driving record.
Ability to obtain a license to work with hazardous materials may be required.
Willingness to undertake training if necessary.
Be mild-tempered and a team player.
Be healthy, strong, and fit.
Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
Strong work ethic.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional time management, accountability, and prioritization skills.
Self-motivated, goal- oriented, and driven to accomplish department goals.
Maintain a fully stocked and organized company vehicle with appropriate tools and safety equipment.
