Materials Coordinator

Job Description

Knapheide Truck Equipment Center in Garner, NC is looking to hire a full-time Materials Coordinator to supply parts to the production area, ensuring customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time. This full-time position works Monday - Thursday from 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM; additional overtime as needed or required.

DAY-TO-DAY AS A MATERIALS COORDINATOR:

Purchase required equipment and supplies.

Communicate with vendors and maintain forecasted equipment arrival dates.

Find solutions to equipment lead time issues.

Manage inventory stock levels.

Maintain on-site inventory organization.

Conduct regular cycle counts.

Complete 100% physical inventory annually.

Load, unload and store equipment from transport trucks.

Effectively communicate with other team members to discuss special items, obstacles, lead times, etc..

Experience

Exposure to vehicle repairs and/or parts sales a plus.

MRP or equivalent business system experience.

Purchasing parts and service for ongoing manufacturing operations.

Time management and execution of detailed tasks.

Mechanical/technical aptitude.

Forklift operation.

This position will require working on a computer much of the time and the ability to learn a new MRP system.
