Summary

The Field Coach & Capability Lead DACH plays a pivotal role in developing the capabilities and performance of our customer-facing teams in the region. At least 50% of the role is dedicated to individual coaching of KAMs and MSLs in the field, including joint customer visits, tailored feedback, and on-the-job development. The role also includes responsibility for onboarding, training needs assessment and delivery, and close collaboration with both regional and global stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities : 1. Field Coaching ( 50% of Role):

Conduct regular field coaching sessions (co-visits) with KAMs and MSLs across DACH.

Provide structured feedback and support for individual development plans.

Act as a trusted partner to strengthen interpersonal skills, scientific engagement, and customer impact.

Ensure coaching is aligned with business goals and Field Force Excellence standards. 2. Training Needs Assessment & Group Training Development:

Conduct ongoing assessments of development needs across the DACH region.

Collaborate with L&D DACH, Regional Sales Heads, MSL Heads, and other stakeholders to identify relevant skill gaps.

Based on identified training needs, craft and deliver group training programs in close collaboration with the respective functions and L&D EMEA.

Ensure group trainings are tailored to business priorities and learning objectives. 3. Onboarding & Integration:

Own the onboarding journey for new field-based hires in Sales and Medical.

In close collaboration with HR, ensure structured onboarding aligned with role expectations, company culture, and compliance requirements.

Deliver practical, engaging onboarding experiences across channels and functions. 4. Evaluation & Continuous Improvement:

Monitor training and coaching effectiveness using KPIs, feedback, and performance data.

Adjust coaching and onboarding approaches based on changing business needs and learner feedback.

Contribute to the evolution of the L&D strategy in alignment with local and EMEA objectives. 5. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with Marketing, Commercial Excellence EMEA, L&D EMEA, Medical, and HR EMEA to ensure content relevance and alignment with overall strategy.

Incorporate clinical, field, and customer insights into training activities and development programs. Requirements :

Formal trainer or coaching certification (e.g., Train-the-Trainer, certified coach).

Extensive experience conducting field coaching and capability building in pharmaceutical Sales and/or Medical environments.

Prior hands-on experience in the German pharmaceutical market (Rx), preferably in a customer-facing role (e.g., KAM, MSL).

Fluent in German and English.

Strong facilitation, coaching, and feedback skills with a collaborative, field-based mindset.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects in dynamic, fast-paced settings.

Willingness to travel frequently across the DACH region.
