Your Role: (Onsite 5 days a Week) The Human Resources Intern will provide administrative and project-based support across a wide range of HR functions to enhance operational efficiency and support organizational goals. This role offers exposure to various areas of HR including employee engagement, recruiting, training, and compliance, providing an excellent learning opportunity for someone pursuing a career in Human Resources.
Responsibilities
Your Work:
Assist in drafting, organizing, and distributing internal HR communications, including updates related to Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and company committees.
Help plan and coordinate HR-sponsored company events and employee engagement activities.
Support data entry, report generation, and the compilation of HR metrics and analytics.
Assist with recruitment efforts, including screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate travel (if applicable).
Prepare onboarding documentation and assist with the administrative setup of new hires.
Support training coordination by scheduling courses, maintaining attendance records, and assisting with training logistics.
Participate in special HR projects as assigned, such as employee surveys, audits, or policy updates.
Provide general support in responding to employee inquiries, escalating as appropriate.
Perform other administrative duties and tasks as needed in support of the HR team.
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Previous administrative or HR-related experience preferred.
Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer service.
High level of discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
Intermittent walking to gain access to work areas.
Finger dexterity sufficient to use a computer and to complete paperwork activities.
Vision sufficient to use a computer, to read written materials and to complete paperwork activities; Hearing sufficient to communicate with individuals by telephone and in person.
Must have the ability to lift 10 – 20 lbs.
Must have the ability to work in an office environment around laboratories, manufacturing areas and equipment with exposure to blood, blood products or OPIM (other potentially infectious materials) while donning required personal protective materials.
Regular Full-Time
