The Catherine Cutler Institute at the University of Southern Maine is seeking two (2) Learning Space Specialists (CL2).

We are looking for enthusiastic and tech-savvy individuals to join our Maker Innovation Studio (MIST) team. These Learning Space Specialists will play a key role in supporting 3D printing, digital immersion, and AR/VR technologies.

In this dynamic role, you will assist students with their signature projects and coursework, promote hands-on, engaged learning, and help integrate community partnerships into innovative initiatives at USM. You'll work at the intersection of STEM, business, and the arts to foster creativity and interdisciplinary collaboration on campus.

The USM Maker Innovation Studio (MIST Lab) is a collaborative workspace for making, learning, exploring and sharing. Our makerspace is open to USM students, faculty, and staff for prototyping ventures. The MIST Lab aims to support hands-on learning and research in science, technology, engineering, art and math fields.

This is a full-time grant funded will pay $20.28/hour (non-negotiable) for a new hire or the appropriate transfer rate for a current employee with the University of Maine System.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in field related to area of research or equivalent AND one year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
