Located in Ipswich in South East Queensland, the JBS Dinmore Plant is the largest beef processing facility in the southern hemisphere. The plant employs approximately 2,000 team members with a processing capacity of 3,400 head of cattle per day.

About the Role

The JBS Dinmore HR Team is currently recruiting a Trainee Human Resources Officer to join the team in a permanent full-time capacity. Reporting to the Senior HR Manager, this role is ideal for anyone who already has some generalist HR experience and looking to further develop their experience in a challenging, complex and fast paced food manufacturing environment. We are open to applications from candidates who have completed a HR degree and/or currently working towards.

Please note: This is an afternoon shift role. The working hours will be approx. 9.00am to 7.00pm; Monday to Thursday.

Working closely with the HR Officer, your key responsibilities will include:

Updating and maintaining HR records

Implementing effective and efficient HR practices that are aligned to business objectives

Ensuring compliance with legislation, policies and procedures

Developing effective relationships with relevant stakeholders

About You

Tertiary qualifications (or working towards) in HR, Business or related discipline advantageous

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment advantageous

Strong computer skills

Ability to have difficult conversations

Ability to influence employees at all levels

Passion and perseverance to improve processes

Ability to cultivate professional working relationships at all levels

Availability to work 38 hours per week; afternoon shift; Monday to Thursday (flexibility is essential)

Must hold a current driver’s license

Must have unrestricted Australian working rights
