Location: Rosyth, Fife + Hybrid Working Arrangements

Compensation: £44,987 - £50,838 + Benefits

The role

As an Assistant Project Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will Provide project controls and planning support, including Requirements Management, Stakeholder Engagement including local client team and subcontractors and Contract Management.

Day-to-day, you’ll responsible for applying PMO competencies with minimal supervision primarily in non-complex situations. You will also:

Procurement – Securing the necessary resources for projects from both internal and external providers.

Budgeting and Cost Control – Setting agreed budgets and managing forecasts and actual costs to ensure financial control.

Performance Management - Utilising tolerances effectively to track and enhance project performance.

Change Control – Implementing and maintaining a rigorous change control process to manage project adjustments.

Risk, Opportunity and Issue Management – Identifying and managing risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.

This role is full time, 36 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 3 days in the office/onsite and 2 days working from home.

Essential experience of the Assistant Project Manager

Agreement to work in areas which will expose individual to ionising radiation (radiation worker)

Extensive recent and relevant experience in a similar environment / business sector

P6 Scheduling experience desirable but not essential

Knowledge of EV concepts desirable but not essential

Experience of Shipbuilding/Repair/Refit/Decommissioning environments desirable but not essential.

Qualifications for the Assistant Project Manager

A bachelor's degree in engineering / project / construction management or a related field desirable but not essential

A professional qualification (e.g. APM) desirable but not essential.

Eligibility for SC Clearance, NNPPI and ITAR essential

The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
