A leading global hedge fund is seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join its Risk Infrastructure team. This role involves designing, developing, and enhancing mission-critical analytics systems that support firm-wide decision-making and risk management. As part of this team, you'll help build robust, scalable solutions that power critical analytics capabilities used by senior risk professionals.

The ideal candidate is an experienced engineer with a deep understanding of high-performance, large-scale systems and can deliver solutions to meet rigorous business and technical needs. The role will require someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable with complex problem-solving, and can work across teams to drive results.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and enhance high-performance, scalable risk analytics systems used firm-wide

Design and implement solutions to improve risk data accessibility, usability, and analytical capabilities

Collaborate closely with both technical teams and business users, particularly risk managers, to define and deliver impactful systems

Maintain high standards of system reliability, scalability, and data integrity under tight performance constraints

Lead the technical design of systems that process vast volumes of financial data

Ensure systems are robust, secure, and require minimal maintenance Skills & Qualifications:

10+ years of software development experience in complex, high-performance systems

Proficiency in backend development with strong expertise in C# and .NET (8+ years)

Experience with data modeling and risk analytics, particularly in large asset classes (e.g., equities, rates)

Expertise in designing and optimizing systems that handle large-scale data with low latency

Ability to design, implement, and maintain high-quality software with an emphasis on automated testing and reliability

Strong communication skills with a proven ability to collaborate across teams and technical disciplines

Solid understanding of T-SQL and relational database systems

Bachelor's degree (or higher) in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related fields Nice to Have:

Experience in a buy-side financial environment or with risk management processes

Familiarity with cloud technologies, such as AWS and Kubernetes

Experience exposing APIs for integration with other languages, especially Python

Knowledge of Snowflake or similar data warehousing technologies

Experience in Python development
