Under general supervision, the Senior Network Administrator manages, monitors, and supports the organization's network infrastructure, emphasizing stability, security, and optimal performance to ensure continuous productivity, minimize downtime, and support overall business success. This role specializes in Cisco and Fortinet technologies within an Operational Technology (OT) manufacturing environment, ensuring reliability and security of King’s Hawaiian systems. The Senior Network Administrator plays a key role in maintaining daily operations and addressing network-related issues efficiently, particularly within industrial settings. They work collaboratively and take direction from Network Engineers, while engaging with technical teams and business stakeholders to implement network solutions and resolve technical issues. This position makes independent decisions within established guidelines; however, complex or critical issues are escalated to leadership for approval. The Senior Network Administrator role is vital to sustaining the efficiency and effectiveness of both IT and OT network operations, directly supporting the company's business objectives. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Network Operations Support: Monitor and manage network infrastructure daily to ensure stability, security, and performance; promptly identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
Customer-Focused Service Delivery: Ensure network infrastructure services align with organizational objectives, emphasizing reliability and user experience, and escalating complex decisions to leadership as appropriate.
Routine Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance and updates to Cisco and Fortinet technologies, including firmware updates, routine configurations, and patch management.
Collaboration and Communication: Coordinate effectively with Network Engineers, following technical guidance and direction to implement network improvements and solutions. Communicate clearly with technical teams and business stakeholders regarding network status and incidents.
Network Management and Security:
Administer and monitor Cisco ISE and FortiSASE for network access control, ensuring compliance with security policies and protocols.
Utilize Cisco DNA Center for network automation and assurance.
Utilize network management tools such as FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager, and Splunk for monitoring, log analysis, and proactive incident response.
OT and IT Integration: Assist with managing and supporting the integration of Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) environments, utilizing Cisco Cyber Vision for security and visibility within manufacturing systems.
User and Infrastructure Support: Provide administration and routine support for Office 365, Active Directory, WebEx Cloud, and basic management tasks within AWS Cloud environments.
Technology Assessments: Participate in evaluating new technologies, offering insights from an operational and support-oriented perspective.
Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation for network configurations, operations procedures, and troubleshooting guides; produce operational reports as required.
BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 3 years of experience in IT or network administration, specifically supporting enterprise-level environments with 24x7 operational requirements.
• Relevant network certifications, such as CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or equivalent certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Fortinet NSE certifications).
• At least 2 years of practical experience supporting Operational Technology (OT) environments, preferably within manufacturing or industrial sectors.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Cisco technologies, including Cisco ISE, DNA Center, Cisco UCS, Meraki, Cisco Cyber Vision, and WebEx Cloud.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES, KNOWLEDGE)
Expert in administering Fortinet technologies, including FortiGate firewalls, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, and FortiSASE.
Proficient using monitoring and analytics platforms such as Splunk or FortiAnalyzer for log analysis, troubleshooting, and incident response.
Working knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure services, particularly AWS Cloud and Microsoft Azure environments.
Proficient knowledge of identity management and directory services, including Active Directory and Office 365 administration.
Developing understanding of compliance frameworks and governance standards relevant to the organization (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR, PII, GMP).
Proficient understanding of network security principles, compliance management, and monitoring practices, particularly within OT environments.
Proficiency in the following technologies:
o Cisco Technologies: Cisco ISE, Cisco FMC, Cisco Catalyst Center (DNA Center), Cisco UCS, Cisco Meraki, Cisco Cyber Vision, and WebEx Cloud
o Fortinet Technologies: FortiGate firewalls, FortiSASE, FortiManager

Technical Skills and Knowledge:
o Working knowledge of routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and practical application in enterprise networks.
o Experience configuring and managing LAN/MAN/WAN topologies and VLAN structures using Cisco Catalyst switches and related technologies.
o Familiarity with core networking and internet protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, and HTTP/HTTPS.
o Solid understanding of firewall configurations, VPN technologies, and network segmentation methods to enhance security in enterprise environments.
o Experience with monitoring tools including Splunk and Fortinet solutions (FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager) to maintain network visibility, performance, and security.
o Working knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and Cisco UCS server infrastructure management.
Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting:
o Ability to diagnose and resolve complicated network issues, including performance bottlenecks, security breaches, and equipment failures. Effective analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
Security Knowledge:
o Familiarity with network access control protocols and systems, including 802.1X, MAB, and Cisco ISE, as applied within IT and OT environments.
o Understanding of Operational Technology (OT) security frameworks and standards, such as the Purdue Model, IEC 62443, and NIST SP 800-82, specifically as they relate to manufacturing and industrial networks.
Soft Skills:
o Effective communication and teamwork skills, capable of working collaboratively within the IT department and with external stakeholders.
o Ability to travel 20% of the time.
