**Position Description**

As the Navy Production Analyst you will conduct daily oversight and surveys of conditions found at HII Ingalls Shipyard in Pascagoula, MS. Bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact towards our military defense, the quality of ships and the safety of our sailors.

Serco supports the US Navy as a prime for providing engineering and production support on the DDG 51 program.

**In this role, you will:**

+ Work with a skilled group of production engineers and waterfront technicians at the shipbuilder's facility and with a mission to improve the efficiency and quality of the shipyard’s processes and to deliver a safe and reliable ship that meets all Navy requirements.

+ Independently monitor production progress, ensure compliance to ship specifications and document discrepancies for the Government team.

+ Brief SUPSHIP or the PMS 400D personnel as needed to report any significant conditions found or observed trends that could affect cost, quality, or schedule.

+ Assemble or construct simple production progressing tools and trackers.

+ Identify ship discrepancies highlighting specification violations and provide recommendations for solutions.

+ Verify satisfactory engineering change incorporation onboard.

+ Review completed trial cards to ensure issues are corrected in accordance with specifications.

+ Conduct a variety of production surveillance using established methods.

+ Prepare trial card and other discrepancy reports.

+ Develop reports on production completeness for assigned systems, spaces, and units.

+ Update readiness for key events using milestone trackers.

**Qualifications**

**To be successful in this role, you will have:**

+ Ability to obtain and maintain an Active DOD Secret Clearance

+ US Citizenship

+ High School Diploma/GED

+ High level education will be considered in lieu of experience.

+ 7 years of experience (Experience in Production processes, craft or engineering highly preferred)

+ Experience working in a shipyard production environment

+ Proficiency in MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint.

+ Excellent oral and technical report writing skills.

+ Ability to physically move around the ships under construction in an industrial environment which could include moving up and down ladders, bending, walking, and standing for prolonged periods.

+ Ability to travel up to 10% as needed.
