The Phlebotomy Specialist II is responsible for collecting patient specimens using proper protocols for patient identification, vein and tube selection, labeling in an outpatient setting. The phlebotomy specialist promotes exceptional customer service, and fosters a customer centric, professional setting that contributes to a positive and productive work environment. The position requires travel to offsite locations and the flexibility to work all shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.
Requirements
High School Diploma/GED
Ability to collect adult and pediatric patients in hospital, outpatient, or long-term care facility
Training in a phlebotomy program preferred
Phlebotomy certification preferred
Skills
Reasoning ability and good independent judgement.
Strong interpersonal, computer and communication skills.
Ability to collect blood samples from both adult and pediatric patients using venipuncture and capillary collections in various clinical settings.
Willingness to work different shifts, weekends and/or holidays.
Ability to work under stress and contribute to the team environment
