Job Description
We are looking for an Infrastructure Project Manager to lead shipboard IT infrastructure projects from initiation to successful delivery. This position will be full-time contract and hybrid in Miramar, FL.
Due to the specific legal and contractual requirements associated with this position, only US Citizens and Green Card Holders/Permanent residents will be considered for this role. Candidates must be able to work directly on CAI's W2.
What You’ll Do
Lead shipboard IT infrastructure projects (Dry Docks, Modernizations, New Builds, Destinations) from initiation to successful delivery
Develop and manage detailed project plans using MS Project or equivalent tools
Track and report on project budgets, forecasts, variances, and procurement milestones
Serve as the primary liaison across IT, shipboard operations, contractors, and senior business stakeholders
Travel globally to manage onsite execution during dry dock periods (4–12 weeks per trip)
Navigate fast-moving construction and upgrade environments—problem-solving daily challenges while ensuring project timelines stay intact
Prepare executive-level project updates, risk mitigation plans, and formal presentations
Ensure alignment with broader IT architecture, infrastructure strategy, and guest experience standards
What You'll Need
Required:
5+ years of project management experience in infrastructure or operations-heavy environments
Recent experience managing large-scale projects using waterfall methodology and multi-workstream coordination
Strong budgeting, procurement, and vendor management skills
Highly developed problem-solving mindset—able to anticipate issues and pivot quickly
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across technical and non-technical audiences
Willingness and ability to travel 40–50% globally
Preferred:
PMP certification strongly preferred
Background in finance or detailed budget accountability
Shipboard experience or maritime industry exposure a strong plus
Familiarity with enterprise IT systems, networking, venue technologies, and construction site safety protocols
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with the occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
