Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Specialist for a full-time contract in Trenton, NJ. This on-site role focuses on providing technical support to our in-house teams, ensuring seamless integration and operation of desktop computing equipment and software.

What You'll Do

Respond in person to helpdesk tickets and assist users with technical issues

Collaborate with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems

Ensure desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems, including file servers, email servers, and application servers

Build and configure new user workstation equipment sets, including PCs, desktop images, phones, peripherals, and software

Troubleshoot basic network, software, and printing problems

What You'll Need

Minimum of 1 year of experience providing hardware/software support to end users

Experience installing hardware and software on workstations and servers

Familiarity with the Windows environment

Experience providing telephone support to users

Experience in maintenance or installation of basic applications and support tasks (i.e., password resets, user management)

Knowledge of MS Office Suite, TEAMS, SharePoint, and Service Now

Experience with PC/laptop break/fix and HW/SW installation and configuration

Scripting skills (e.g., PERL, SHELL)

Physical Demands

Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards

Sedentary work involving sitting or remaining stationary most of the time, with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings

Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
