Role:
To maintain records and files on all credit transactions and reviews, including correspondence and documents needed to determine the risk to the credit union.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Monitor all records and files on all credit transactions and review compliance per policy.
Performs credit analysis including, but not limited to, performing the initial credit analysis of financial statement and credit history for existing and potential membership, and preparing and processing all documentation for credit transactions and annual reviews. Appropriate analysis includes but is not limited to: calculating cash flow, debt service, and margin, along with corresponding written summaries that interpret these calculations. Primary calculations and global calculations are aligned properly. Collateral positions are evaluated, researched, and documented. Written narratives of these analysis are prepared in sufficient detail such that readers unfamiliar with the transaction or review can understand the content.
Assist with structuring deals and perform risk assessments by reviewing credit applications or requests.
Assist with problem loan reports, credit requests, loan comments and any draft versions of documents requested.
Provides and maintains reporting requirements on Credit Union members' credit obligations.
Provides support to Credit Union members and staff in explaining credit policies and procedures.
Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication, coordination, and working relations with Credit Union personnel and with management.
Assists in special assignments requested by management and members.
Performs other job duties as assigned.
Performance Measurements:
1.
Adhere to Credit Union Corporate Service Standards.
2.
Accurately collect, analyze, and independently interpret financial data within respectable timelines given.
3.
Complete and process two annual reviews per week and/or to completion as agreed upon by supervisor. Update annual review tracking sheet weekly.
4.
Quarterly Problem Loan Reports (PLR’s) are to be updated and sent to the appropriate lender for review no later than the end of the third week following quarter-end.

The Total Commercial Relationship Report is to be updated by the second business day following the end of the month.

Files are current and well organized. All commercial files are maintained to the satisfaction of internal audit, external audit, and the NCUA.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience
Five to ten years of similar or related experience
Education
(1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
Interpersonal Skills
Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
Other Skills
Must have experience in analyzing business financial statements and assessing the viability of businesses; must have excellent communication and PR skills; ability to use related software required.

AVERAGE VISUAL ABILITIES: Average, ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products, or operate machinery.
PHYSICAL STRENGTH: Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.
