As a Full-Time Cost Estimator I at PTI Technologies, you will play a critical role in preparing cost estimates for both Government and Commercial solicitations within the aerospace manufacturing sector. Your responsibilities will include interpreting RFQ requirements, engineering drawings, and proposal sketches while ensuring compliance and audit readiness. You'll work directly with bills of materials, delivery schedules, and vendor quotes to create accurate cost estimates. Your keen understanding of current manufacturing methods and estimating techniques will enable you to assess costs related to raw materials, tooling, and assembly hours effectively. You'll interface with various departments including Marketing and Engineering to clarify design and manufacturing requirements, while maintaining detailed and documented records of your estimates.

Your expertise will be key in auditing and analyzing cost activities, supporting fact-finding sessions, and preparing management review presentations to ensure excellence in our cost estimating processes within the aerospace industry.Would you be a great Cost Estimator I?

To excel as a Full-Time Cost Estimator I at PTI Technologies, candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, supplemented by two to three years of relevant experience with at least one or two years in a manufacturing environment. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel with advanced skills like pivot tables and macros, is essential. The role requires the ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical materials and industry regulations while crafting clear reports and business correspondence.

Exceptional mathematical skills are vital for working with statistical concepts, ratios, and proportions, as well as the capacity to define problems and derive solutions through logical reasoning. A detail-oriented mindset, organizational capabilities, and effective communication skills are necessary for successful collaboration with various departments.
