Industrial Designer
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Industrial Designer to join our Research & Development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of user-centered design thinking, technical know-how, and the ability to translate insights into manufacturable, market-ready solutions. This role will work cross-functionally with engineering, marketing, and production to bring innovative products to life.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design innovative and manufacturable products.
Conduct user research through interviews, surveys, and site observations to gather actionable insights.
Develop and present detailed 3D models, concept sketches, renderings, and prototypes to communicate design intent.
Translate user feedback and market trends into thoughtful, user-centered design solutions.
Partner with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility, cost-efficiency, and scalability.
Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including BOMs, exploded views, and specification sheets.
Support prototype testing and validation efforts, incorporating feedback into design iterations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in industrial design or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in product design within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Proficiency in 3D CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Rhino, Fusion 360).
Strong visualization and presentation skills, including sketching, Adobe Creative Suite, and KeyShot.
Solid understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) principles and material applications (metal, wood, plastics).
Experience with prototyping tools and fabrication methods.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):
Experience in furniture, fixtures, or interior product design.
Knowledge of sustainable and environmentally responsible design practices.
