Direct Counsel is seeking an International Trade Attorney with experience in customs and import control matters to join a reputable law firm’s Business Practice. This partner-level role provides the opportunity to advise on complex international transactions and collaborate closely with industry-leading clients in global trade.
Key Responsibilities
Advise clients on customs and import control matters, including tariff classification, valuation, transfer pricing, audits, forced labor compliance, and enforcement of antidumping and countervailing duty orders
Counsel clients on international trade regulations and compliance with trade agreements
Collaborate with attorneys across the firm’s six offices to deliver high-quality client service
Qualifications
JD from an ABA-accredited law school and license to practice law
7+ years of experience in international trade law, customs compliance, and import control matters
Established book of business required
Strong academic background with excellent analytical and writing skills
Client-centered approach with exceptional communication skills
Ability to manage responsibilities independently and as part of a diverse team
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $200,000 - $325,000 annually (based on experience and location)
