Job Description
Overview
We’re looking for an entry-level, hands-on Tech Consultant to join our Miami IT team. This is a great launching pad for someone serious about getting into IT operations.
Key Responsibilities
Deskside Support: Provide first-line technical support to employees in the Miami office — basic troubleshooting, password resets, peripheral support, and walk-up assistance.
Imaging & Deployment: Assist with remote imaging of laptops, preparing machines for onboarding, and handling refreshes and returns.
Storeroom Management: Keep the IT storeroom organized — maintain inventory, label and track gear, and prep devices for deployment.
IT Closet Maintenance: Help maintain clean and orderly IT/network closets, ensuring proper labeling, cable management, and accessibility.
Warranty Claims: Process warranty claims for faulty devices, liaising with vendors and tracking resolution from start to finish.
Asset Management: Support hardware intake and return processes — logging, wiping, and updating inventory records.
Onsite Setups: Assist with workstation setups for new hires, set up new desks, conference room tech checks, and occasional AV support for meetings.
Escalation Support: Log and escalate issues to senior engineers when they fall outside of Tier 1 support.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience: 0–2 years in a technical support or IT helpdesk role (internships or certifications a plus).
Skills: Basic understanding of Windows OS, Office 365, and general hardware troubleshooting.
Mindset: Self-starter with strong attention to detail, organized, and comfortable working hands-on.
Soft Skills: Friendly and professional demeanor — you’ll be the face of IT for deskside support in Miami.
