Assistant Controller

Job Description

Our client in Buford, GA is hiring for the role of Accounting Manager. This role offers the opportunity to lead a growing accounting team in a fast-paced environment, working directly with business unit leaders to drive financial visibility and integrity. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in GAAP, job costing, and leadership experience across both financial reporting and operational accounting.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of financial reports.

Lead, mentor, and review work of staff and senior accountants.

Perform WIP and job cost analysis, and conduct monthly financial meetings with business leaders.

Manage the annual budget process, support audits, and coordinate tax filings and compliance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.5–7 years of relevant accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities.

Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles.

Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
