Summary
The primary purpose of this position is the oversight of all maintenance functions for Porter Corp. This position will supervise the maintenance department and team members, maintaining Porter Corp. facilities and machinery. This position is responsible for the supervision of all maintenance functions and the maintenance team at Porter Corp.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Responsible for maintenance staff, maintenance on buildings and machines
2. Research problems on machines and processes and work with other team members on solutions
3. Run and analyze preventative maintenance and work order reports and schedule time to do repairs
4. Research and handle purchasing of maintenance parts and supplies for machines and oversee that maintenance functions at maximum efficiency
5. Research new to be acquired or replaced equipment
6. Work with Operations managers on Continuous Improvement program
7. Participates in and leads training programs as needed
8. Work with outside vendors/suppliers and contractors
9. Involves significant physical activity including standing, lifting, bending, stooping and pushing, pulling and twisting
10. Maintain machines for optimum capacity / uptime and safety
11. Maintain buildings and grounds to ensure a safe and attractive and orderly environment for employees and visitors
12. Perform other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience
1. 5 years or more of machinery and facilities maintenance (journeyman status preferred)
2. High School Diploma or Equivalent required
3. Associates Degree or Higher preferred
Travel
This position requires minimal to no travel
Computer Skills
· Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
· Demonstrated proficiency using EPICOR ERP or similar systems
Other Requirements
1. Strong mechanical knowledge
2. Strong knowledge of hydraulics
3. Strong knowledge of pneumatics
4. Strong knowledge of facilities maintenance
5. Proven welding and torch operation ability
6. Knowledge of assembly and disassembly
7. Basic electrical, controls and PLC knowledge
8. Knowledge and ability with machinery installation, rigging and setup
9. Knowledge of lubricants
10. Knowledge of preventative maintenance practices and procedures
11. Strong troubleshooting skills
12. Ability to envision, suggest and implement solutions to issues
13. Must be organized, professional, and proficient in project management
14. Must be able to supervise, direct and lead the work of others
Other Skills
1. Maintain and Improve PM’s that assures the highest level of equipment uptime
2. Serve Internal Customer expediently.
3. Improve existing PM procedures to improve equipment uptime
4. Maintain and ensure equipment is meeting latest OSHA requirements
5. Ensure replacement program is in place and maintained
6. Inform Management Team of potential high equipment repair expenses
7. Keep the critical parts inventory up to date
8. Assist other team members when needed
9. Conduct performance appraisals
10. Decision making regarding personnel; hiring, termination, discipline, training etc.
11. Decision making regarding new equipment
