Overview

Direct Hire opportunity! We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Electrical Estimator to join a local electrical company on a direct hire basis. The Electrical Estimator will play a crucial role in ensuring projects are priced appropriately within budget.

Duties

Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other documentation.

Utilize estimating software to create accurate bid proposals and manage project costs.

Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to assess project requirements and constraints.

Conduct site visits to evaluate conditions and gather necessary information for accurate estimating.

Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure the best pricing and terms.

Monitor ongoing project costs to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints and implement cost control measures as needed.

Build project schedules and write project conditions for each job

Assemble taxes, fees and other cost accruals for final estimates

Maintain comprehensive records of estimates, contracts, and changes throughout the project lifecycle.

Present proposals electronically or in person

Experience

Proven experience as a Commercial Electrical Estimator

Proficiency in using estimating software such as Accubid, Conest, Xactimate and Procore

Effective communication skills to collaborate with various clients, subcontractors, and team members.Company Description
