The Yardi Administrator oversees the administration, configuration, and support of Yardi property management software to ensure efficient operations for real estate or property management organizations. This role involves system maintenance, user support, troubleshooting, data management, and coordination with stakeholders to optimize Yardi’s functionality across various business processes.

Responsibilities:

System Administration & Configuration: Configure and maintain Yardi systems, including Voyager, Commercial, Residential, Investment Accounting, and other modules, to align with organizational needs.

Manage user access, permissions, and security settings to ensure compliance with internal policies and audit requirements.

Perform system updates, implement plug-ins, and ensure compatibility with the latest Yardi software versions.

Oversee database maintenance, including updating tenant, property, and vendor information in the Yardi database.

Troubleshooting & Support: Act as the primary point of contact for end-user questions, resolving technical issues related to Yardi software.

Diagnose and troubleshoot data and reporting issues, utilizing SQL for advanced problem-solving when needed.

Provide Tier 3 escalation support for complex system issues.

Training & Documentation: Train new and existing employees on Yardi workflows, procedures, and best practices, either in-person or remotely.

Develop and maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, processes, and training materials.

Create and deliver status reports (weekly, monthly, or annually) to stakeholders as required.

Project Management & Optimization: Lead or support Yardi implementation projects, including data conversion, system customization, and third-party integrations.

Collaborate with IT teams, vendors, and developers to design and implement custom reports and solutions.

Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to improve workflow automation and efficiency.

Compliance & Financial Support: Ensure Yardi systems comply with internal and external audit requirements, including financial and regulatory standards.

Assist with accounting tasks, such as budgeting, billing, collections, and financial reporting within Yardi.

Support lease administration, including lease entry, tracking critical dates, and managing rent rolls.

Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination: Work with third-party vendors to manage software updates, support services, and hosting.

Collaborate with property managers, financial teams, and other departments to maximize Yardi’s capabilities in operational workflows.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

High school diploma or GED required; relevant certifications in Yardi or property management software are a plus.

Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a Yardi Administrator or in a similar role, preferably in real estate, property management, or investment management.

Experience with Yardi Voyager, Investment Accounting, Procure to Pay, or other Yardi modules is highly desirable.

Familiarity with commercial or residential real estate operations and lease administration is a plus.

Skills: Advanced proficiency in Yardi software and related modules (e.g., Voyager, CommercialEdge, Kube).

Strong technical and analytical skills, including basic knowledge of SQL for data diagnostics.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general computer literacy.

Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Other Requirements: Knowledge of real estate accounting principles and financial reporting is preferred.

Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external vendors.

May require occasional weekend or overtime availability during peak periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Yardi’s advanced features, such as Investment Manager, Forecast Manager, or Construction Manager.

Familiarity with other property management software (e.g., MRI, RealPage) is a plus.

Real estate license or willingness to obtain one (where applicable).

Work Environment:

Typically office-based, with hybrid or remote work options depending on the employer.

May involve interaction with property managers, tenants, and third-party vendors.

Fast-paced environment requiring adaptability to frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
