**JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Develop, monitor, and refine forecasting models for monthly electricity sales (kWh) and hourly electric load (MW)
+ Develop, monitor, and refine forecasting models for monthly natural gas sales
+ Understand factors affecting how electricity consumption could change over time and develop ways to include potential effects in forecast scenarios
+ Develop analysis and deliver reports and presentations to assist with the understanding of the consumption forecasts, economic conditions, and other items
+ Design and implement process improvements to enhance forecast accuracy
+ Perform ad hoc analysis, summary analysis, trend analysis, and statistical analysis and communicate results as needed
+ Support regulatory requirements of RFIs and other external data requests on an ad hoc basis, as well as responding to internal requests for information in an efficient and timely manner
+ Participate in regular safety meetings and work in a safety-conscious manner
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**
**Minimum education required of the position**
+ BS/BA in a technical field such as Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Statistics or have equivalent work experience.
**Minimum experience required of the position**
+ **Financial Analyst, Sr Staff:** 7+ years professional experience.
**Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position:**
The ideal candidate will have solid analytical skills, be forward-thinking and creative, will be a self-starter, and will exhibit a commitment to the quality of his/her work.
This person should have a deep working knowledge and skills with MS Excel and should be a good verbal and written communicator.
Other desirable skills and experience include knowledge of Metrix (Itron) software products as well as SQL query tools.
