SUMMARY
Fahlgren Mortine is seeking an ambitious communications associate to support business development and agency promotion as part of our growing, award-winning team in Columbus, Ohio. This hybrid role requires a minimum of two days per week in the office, with additional in-office time as business needs dictate.
We’re looking for a curious and proactive professional, eager to explore new ideas and innovative approaches. In this role, you will support agency growth initiatives to elevate the Fahlgren Mortine brand and contribute to new business and reputation-building efforts for the agency.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Report to Fahlgren Mortine’s Director of Business Development and collaborate closely with the communications team that supports all brands across The Shipyard Collective (The Shipyard, Fahlgren Mortine and TURNER)
Attend and assist with new business meetings to capture, document and circulate action items
Assist in the development and layout of new business proposals and pitch presentations, including written and visual content using both Word and PowerPoint
Write and update proposal assets, including associate biographies, client case studies, and agency credentials
Additional support may include formatting, proofreading, and proposal submissions
Manage and report on the agency’s client and new business database using Hubspot
Lead the submission of award entries and agency profiles to enhance visibility and communications-industry recognition for the agency and its leadership
Support proactive and reactive social media initiatives using editorial calendars, active listening, community management and monitoring
Maintain and update business development materials including sales sheets, capabilities materials, case studies, etc. ensuring content is current and designs remain fresh
Archive agency information, awards and milestones
Collaborate with the creative team to produce visual assets for social media, intranet, website, marketing materials, sales materials, blogs and more
Assist with agency-hosted business development events, including the B2B Peer Summit and Engineering Brand Love Summit
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 1 year of professional or internship experience
Excellent writing and proofreading skills; knowledge of AP style is preferred
Strong research abilities
High attention to detail including timeline development
Experience in reporting, tracking and archiving
Creative eye for text and photo layout experience using various programs within Microsoft Office, specifically experience developing PowerPoint presentations
Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines effectively
Team oriented with the ability to collaborate across a variety of professional disciplines
BA/BS in related fields
