We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Cost Accountant to join our team in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in analyzing and managing costs to support the financial health of our manufacturing operations. Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed analysis of standard costs, actual costs, and variances related to materials, labor, and overhead.

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and other tasks to support monthly and year-end closing processes.

• Generate financial reports and provide actionable insights to enhance cost efficiency and improve profit margins.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate cost allocation and financial reporting.

• Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.

• Utilize ERP systems and tools such as Crystal Reports and Epicor to streamline accounting processes.

• Support budget development and forecasting activities to align with organizational goals.

• Monitor cash activity and provide updates to stakeholders on financial performance.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies through regular reviews.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement within financial operations.• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline.

• At least 3 years of progressive experience in accounting within a manufacturing environment.

• Strong proficiency with ERP systems, including tools such as Epicor and Crystal Reports.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

• Solid understanding of accounting principles, cost accounting, and variance analysis.

• Experience with auditing, budgeting, and financial reporting processes.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on accuracy.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with teams.
