Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Paralegal with a strong background in insurance defense and bodily injury claims to join our team in West Palm Beach, Florida. This is a long-term contract position lasting 3 to 4 months to provide coverage while a team member is on leave. The ideal candidate will have experience with medical chronologies, summaries, and billing, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Review and summarize medical records, bills, and supporting documentation to create accurate medical chronologies and bill summaries.

• Collaborate effectively with clients, insurers, and legal teams to ensure smooth case management.

• Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, correspondence, and reports.

• Utilize case management software to track and manage case activities and deadlines.

• Perform e-filing and ensure compliance with state and federal court procedures.

• Maintain accurate billing records and capture billable hours efficiently.

• Organize and manage case files, calendars, and schedules to meet deadlines.

• Conduct research and provide support for liability and insurance defense litigation.

• Communicate professionally with all stakeholders in a collaborative environment.

• At least 2 years of experience in civil litigation, bodily injury with a focus on medical summaries and billing.

• Prior experience in insurance defense, bodily injury claims, or general liability cases.

• Familiarity with reviewing and summarizing medical records and bills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent organizational abilities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Adobe.

• Knowledge of Florida court procedures and e-filing systems is preferred.

• Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting.

• Basic understanding of medical terminology is a plus.
