We are looking for a skilled Controller to join our team in Kansas City Metro. In this role, you will play a key part in overseeing financial operations, ensuring accurate inventory management, and contributing to strategic decision-making at the executive level. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in the distribution industry and demonstrate a strong ability to lead and optimize accounting processes.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee all financial operations, including general ledger and month-end closing processes.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory control and distribution management.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Lead the preparation and analysis of financial reports to support business objectives.
• Identify opportunities for operational improvements and cost savings within logistics and distribution workflows.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff to ensure high performance and growth.
• Monitor financial trends and provide recommendations to address challenges and capitalize on opportunities.
• Coordinate with other departments to align financial goals with overall business strategies.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial management, with a focus on the distribution industry prefered
• Strong knowledge of inventory control and logistics processes profered
• Proven expertise in general ledger management and month-end close procedures.
• Ability to develop and execute strategic financial plans in collaboration with executive leadership.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
