Finance System Testing Analyst

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Finance System Testing Analyst to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role will be based in Miami, Florida, with potential flexibility for remote work for the right candidate. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between accounting and IT, leveraging their expertise in financial systems and Oracle implementations to ensure seamless operations and data accuracy.

Responsibilities:

• Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing for Oracle Financial modules, including GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, and PO.

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on business and functional requirements.

• Validate financial data flows and ensure accurate outputs across Oracle systems and integrated platforms.

• Collaborate closely with Finance and Accounting teams to understand key business processes and reporting needs.

• Participate in testing processes for Oracle patches, upgrades, and new module implementations.

• Identify, document, and manage defects through resolution using tools such as HP ALM or similar systems.

• Conduct reconciliation testing to maintain financial accuracy during system changes or updates.

• Work with IT teams to manage test environments and ensure proper setup of test data.

• Support compliance testing and documentation efforts related to financial systems.

• Provide detailed documentation of testing results, issues encountered, and resolutions for audit and reporting purposes.• Strong experience with Oracle Financial modules, including implementation and testing processes.

• Background in accounting and finance, with a solid understanding of core financial principles and processes.

• Proven ability to collaborate between Finance, Accounting, and IT teams to achieve project goals.

• Familiarity with tools for defect tracking and testing management, such as HP ALM or equivalent.

• Experience performing testing for financial system upgrades, patches, and new implementations.

• Strong analytical skills to create and execute effective test plans and ensure data accuracy.

• Excellent communication skills to document and report testing outcomes clearly.

• Knowledge of ERP systems and financial processes, including budgeting, billing, and collections.
