Job Title: Die Maker – 1st Shift

Job Description:

A growing global printing manufacturer in La Crosse, WI is seeking a skilled Die Maker to join our 1st shift team. This hands-on position involves building, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of jigs, fixtures, tools, and dies used in manufacturing processes across automotive, electronics, medical, and industrial sectors.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Wage: $17–$20/hour (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

Build, assemble, and repair jigs, fixtures, tools, and dies

Prepare steel rule and punch press dies ahead of time to minimize production downtime

Interpret blueprints, verbal and written instructions, and sample parts

Plan and operate a variety of manual machine shop tools

Fit, align, and assemble parts with high precision

Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on dies, including re-ruling and ejection repairs

Maintain accurate records on die maintenance and tool repairs

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Experience with Adobe Illustrator preferred

CNC knowledge is a plus

Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity

Ability to read blueprints and follow technical instructions

Self-motivated and able to work independently

Basic computer skills
