Key Responsibilities:
Audit payroll cycles using the UKG
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
Perform reconciliations of payroll reports, including taxes, benefits, and deductions.
Support the year-end process, including generation of W-2s, P60s, and other statutory filings.
Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT departments to ensure accurate employee data and payroll records.
Troubleshoot and resolve payroll issues, working with UKG support as needed.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and process documentation.
Analyze payroll trends and generate reports for internal stakeholders.
Participate in system upgrades, testing, and configuration changes within the UKG platform.
Support internal and external audits by providing requested data and documentation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
3+ years of payroll experience, with at least 1 year of experience using UKG.
Strong understanding of payroll principles, statutory deductions, and employment tax regulations.
Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc.) and proficiency in payroll reporting tools.
High attention to detail with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
