Job Title: Low Voltage Cable Technician
Location: Warren, MI (fully onsite)
Job Type: Full Time 55-75k
TRAVEL: 70% of the year throughout US/ North America facilities for installations. Travel is taken care of by the company.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Cable Technician to install, maintain, and
troubleshoot low-voltage cabling and security systems, including surveillance cameras,
access control systems, and time & attendance readers. The ideal candidate will have
experience running and terminating low-voltage cables, installing and configuring
security devices, and ensuring systems operate efficiently and securely.
Work Environment:
Indoor and outdoor work at construction sites, offices, and industrial facilities.
Some after-hours or weekend work may be required for installations or
emergencies.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling (CAT5e, CAT6, fiber, coax, etc.).
Install and configure security cameras (CCTV, IP-based), access control
systems, and time & attendance readers.
Mount, wire, and power up security and access control devices, including card
readers, keypads, biometric scanners, and door strikes.
Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on all installed
systems.
Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety regulations, and industry
standards.
Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to execute projects
effectively.
Provide technical support and training to clients or end-users as needed.
Maintain accurate records of installations, service requests, and system
performance.
