We are looking for a skilled Purchasing & Inventory Manager to oversee the procurement and inventory operations of our organization. Based in Amarillo, Texas, this role involves managing vendor relationships, negotiating agreements, and supervising staff to ensure smooth workflows. Responsibilities:

• Manage the purchasing and inventory processes for equipment and trailers to ensure efficient operations.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to secure favorable terms and reliable supplies.

• Negotiate pricing and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost-effective solutions.

• Supervise and guide staff members involved in purchasing and inventory management.

• Implement and oversee enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to optimize procurement workflows.

• Monitor accounts payable and accounting functions to ensure accurate financial tracking.

• Develop strategies to improve inventory control and reduce excess stock.

• Collaborate with internal teams to align purchasing activities with organizational goals.

• Analyze buying processes to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all procurement activities.• Proven experience in purchasing and inventory management, preferably in a managerial role.

• Proficiency in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, such as Epicor or About Time.

• Strong understanding of accounting functions and accounts payable processes.

• Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts and maintain vendor relationships.

• Effective communication skills for collaborating with teams and external partners.

• Knowledge of buying processes and strategies for cost optimization.

• Familiarity with inventory control techniques and tools.

• Leadership skills to manage and motivate staff effectively.
