Use your skills, experience and talents to continue building an industry leading Item Center of Excellence at Target. The Item Data Governance team has elevated the importance of Item Data Quality as it has direct impact on Target’s digital guest experience and enterprise operations.
As a Sr. Item Data Quality Analyst, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining processes and systems that ensure the accuracy, completeness, uniqueness, timeliness, and validity. This will include collaborating with cross-functional teams, developing consistent item data quality measures, and implementing automated solutions to continuously monitor and improve item data quality across the enterprise. As a Sr. Item Data Quality Analyst, you will take the lead as you:
Utilize advanced data analysis techniques, data profiling, and data quality tools to identify complex patterns, trends, and anomalies in item data.
Drive the development and implementation of predictive analytics and measures for proactive data quality management.
Collaborate and partner with data product and sciences teams to integrate data quality processes, measures, rules, and workflows into both existing and new solutions.
Design, develop, and implement the framework needed to streamline, automate, and continuously improve item data quality.
Lead root cause analysis efforts to identify underlying item data quality issues.
Implement solutions focused on identifying and resolving complex item data quality issues.
Leverage technical proficiency with database systems and SQL for querying, analyzing, and manipulating data needed to understand item data quality issues/opportunities.
Work closely with Sr. Item Data Stewards and Item Data Analysts to understand item data quality requirements and prioritize accordingly.
Support Enterprise Item and Item Data Governance needs and priorities to ensure continuous improvement across the enterprise and to deliver a positive guest experience.
Develop solutions to evaluate and govern overall item data quality standards to meet business needs across the Enterprise.
Minimum Requirements:
College degree or equivalent work experience in data quality and/or data governance fields
Extensive analytical aptitude with experience measuring and tracking key metrics
Passion for root-cause problem solving and an ability to overcome obstacles
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in advanced data quality tools and programming languages (e.g. SQL, Python)
Understanding of data governance principles and industry best practices
