Volt is immediately hiring for Extrusion Technician I at PLYMOUTH, Minnesota 55442.

As a Extrusion Technician I, you will:

An Extrusion Technician is responsible for the preparation and operation of plastic extrusion equipment used to manufacture custom and complex medical tubing according to specifications.

This position requires following quality standards to meet production and/or development demands

Maintain knowledge of the extrusion lines they support.

Exemplify client core values of Integrity, Accountability, Teamwork, and Innovation in daily work.

Communicate needs for tools to meet production demands.

Participate in daily production meetings and promote continuous improvement.

Participate in project activities as required and work with cross-functional teams.

Provide support and input to technicians in the Extrusion area as able.

Involved in lean manufacturing processes, changes, and training.

Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.

Maintain knowledge and ability to setup most of the extrusion and in-line equipment and software.

Start up and operate the extrusion equipment according to approved parameters for the item(s) to be manufactured.

Adjust tooling as required to produce product that meets the specifications.

Adjust processing parameters as allowed within the approved range(s) to maintain the product within the approved specification.

Inspect product according to approved methods and standards using approved equipment.

Collect and package product according to approved standards and deliver to the next station listed on the work order.

Observe machine operation to detect work-piece defects or machine malfunction.

Measure work-piece dimensions with dies and gauges as well as visions systems to determine accuracy of machine operation.

Performs minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or workpieces.

Complete and submit all completed paperwork or electronic data entry.

Purge, shut down and clean all equipment according to approved methods (where applicable), and remove tooling in preparation for the next work order to be processed.

Train on new operations, running new MM’s and maintaining training records.

Confer with supervisors and management to address and resolve problem or complaints

Enforce safety and sanitation regulationsSchedule: 1st shift, 5am – 3:30pm, Monday – Thursday

The ideal candidate will have:

High School Diploma and/or GED

2 year(s) experience operating a machine in a manufacturing environment.

Direct experience on an extruder preferred.Thank you!

Payrate Range in Between - $22.80 - $24.80/hourly

* Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
